7 Indian Sweets To Surely Satisfy Your Sweet Cravings



We humans have a natural tendency of affinity towards anything that tastes sweet; and Indians are so very good at that. Our sweet cravings are well known. 2. Rajbhog
This chilled sweet is the king of Indian sweets. It is a saffron flavoured dessert which is made up of dough, semolina, cottage cheese and is made in sugar syrup. The feeling when it melts in your mouth as you eat, just can’t be described. Externally, it resembles Rasgullas.
3. Jalebi
It is easily available at any sweet shop. This coil shaped sweet made up of flour, is deep fried in oil and soaked in sugar syrup. It is usually served warm and is mouth-watering, crunchy, which will surely satisfy your sweet cravings.
4. Shrikhand
This is a mouth-watering sweet which you just can’t say no to. Made from strained Yogurt, it is widely consumed in western India. Generally, dry fruits are added in it to give an extra dash of taste. It tastes just amazing when served chilled.
5. Gulab Jamun
No one says no to this outrageous sweet. Gulab Jamun is made from khoya, sugar, wheat flour and some cardamom is added too. After deep frying in oil, it is then soaked in sugar syrup. It will never fail to satiate your sweet cravings.
6. Rasmalai
That feeling is indescribable when it melts in your mouth. When Paneer is soaked in milk cream and flavoured with cardamom, you get Rasmalai. Add to it, dry fruit toppings and nut slices and your sweet cravings are fulfilled for sure.
7. Gajar ka Halva
This traditional Indian sweet is not to be missed. This solid form, made from carrot, milk, butter and some sugar is best consumed when it is hot. Decorated with chopped dry fruits, the taste is just outstanding to say the least.
