The school is a very important part aspect of the student life. A student goes through fourteen years of schooling, starting from LKG to class 12. There are varieties of schools in India; suitable for every section of the society. There are normally two types of schools - one that is managed by the state or central government and other that is managed by the private sector. In the government schools, education is subsidised and is frugal in comparison to private schools.

c) Education develops manpower for different levels of the economy. It is also the substrate on which research and development flourish, being the ultimate guarantee of national self-reliance.
d) In sum, education is a unique investment in the present and the future. This cardinal the principle is the key to the National Policy on Education.
According to Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the Model School scheme aims to provide quality education to talented rural children through setting up of 6,000 model schools at the rate of one school per block as a benchmark of excellence. The scheme has the following objectives:
(i)To have at least one good quality senior secondary school in every block.
(ii)To have a pace-setting role
(iii)To try out innovative curriculum and pedagogy
(iv)To be a model in infrastructure, curriculum, evaluation and school governance
The scheme envisages setting up of (i) 3,500 schools in as many educationally backwards blocks (EBBs) through State/UT Governments, and (ii) remaining 2,500 schools under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode in blocks which are not educationally backwards.
